Initial Update

Jedd and I are not the greatest at keeping everyone up to speed as to our latest goings-on. Things such as where we live, number of children living in our household, how we are occupying our time, etc. often go unmentioned. So, here it is. For some of you, the news will be bigger than others. I'll try to cover all the bases possibly left untouched.

We have a daughter. Her name is Leora. She is the most spectacular two-year old alive. And that is just a fact.

We are expecting another daughter. Any day now would be nice. I am very heavy with child and in five minutes will be past my due date. If anyone has any name suggestions please feel free to comment. We haven't nailed it down yet.

In September, Jedd will start school at the University College of London. He is rather keen on the Dutch. Consequently, he will be working on a Masters in the Dutch Golden Age, a period I have heard far more about than I ever imagined possible. I have been considering a tattoo of a tulip on my bicep.

Presently, we have been taken in by my sister Dana and her husband Matt. We are living in their basement in Sylva, NC while we await the birth of our second child and the approval of the British government to let us into their fine country.

We have yet to secure a flat. The baby has no passport, because she is a smart infant who is choosing to stay inside momma's belly. I think she senses the fray she is about to enter. Leora's passport has arrived and the picture is hilarious. Jedd's visa application is complete.

In short, we are so close yet so far away.
